The Waurn Ponds Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice opened July 2020. It has an excellent position in Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre and is situated within a DPA.
The practice is ultra-modern and high tech. The design is driven by distinct architectural principles, with a strict focus on maximising space and workflow. The central waiting space is filled with natural light. Bold selections and Donna Sharam’s vibrant art all underpins our style.
Our team of doctors is well supported by innovative technology and dedicated staff. Waurn Ponds Medical Centre uses the top clinical software – Best Practice, as well as one of the largest online health appointment booking services – HotDoc.

The shopping centre
Waurn Ponds is a sprawling shopping centre in Waurn Ponds operated by ISPT. Just 15 minutes drive from the heart of the city of Geelong, the centre is home to more than 140 stores across one level including Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Target, Reading Cinemas and Priceline. Waurn Ponds is highly visible to Geelong Ring Road traffic and boasts ample parking.
Waurn Ponds was named after the Waurn chain of ponds, a watercourse flowing from Mount Moriac into the Barwon River. The name "Waurn" is thought to have been derived from the Wathaurong language meaning "place of many houses".

It is also known as the “Gateway City” due to it’s central Victorian location between Melbourne and all the best beaches along the Great Ocean Road.
